Ways to Work Together
Every project is different. I work with investigators and institutions to identify the level of support that best fits the scientific needs of the project.
Consultation Services
I can contribute at any stage of a research project, including:
- During study planning and design
- At the start of a study
- During an ongoing study
Services are available virtually or in person.
Ongoing Research Collaboration
(NIH grant role: Key Personnel-Consultant)
For projects requiring long-term methodological expertise, I can join the research team in an ongoing role, providing qualitative, mixed methods, and/or theoretical expertise across project phases. Activities may include study design, protocol development, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript development, and other project-related activities as needed.
Project-Specific Consulting
(NIH grant role: Consultant)
For projects requiring intermittent and/or focused support, I can provide consultation with a more defined scope of work, such as oversight of methodological planning and implementation, interview guide or codebook development, or supervision of data analysis.
Independent Consultation
For investigators seeking short-term support and/or assistance with an unfunded project, consultation is available on an hourly or project basis. Examples include:
- Research Rescue
- Methodological planning or study check‑ins
- Application of self- and family management theory
- Grant proposal review
- Manuscript review for content, organization, and length
- Conference presentation review (abstracts, posters, slide presentations)
Educational Services
I can provide:
- Workshops
- Research team training
- Individual educational sessions
- Invited lectures and presentations
Services may be arranged on an hourly, project, or honorarium basis and are available virtually or in person.
Fees
Fees are based on the scope and nature of each project. Please contact me to discuss your needs and receive a customized estimate.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you only work on funded projects?
- No. I support funded and unfunded research.
- How are fees determined?
- Fees are tailored to the scope, timeline, and specific needs of each project.
- Can you provide a one-time or periodic consultation?
- Absolutely. Some investigators need a single meeting to think through a methodological question. Others prefer to check in periodically throughout a study to discuss emerging issues, validate decisions, and ensure the study is progressing as intended.
